 We were contacted by a contractor who was remodeling the patio of an Italian restaurant in Alabama. He wanted to create a classic Italian atmosphere using decorative lighting fixtures that were reminiscent of old street lights with globes. He also wanted these lights to be suspended over the patio, which is why he had already decided to look for some sort of outdoor globe string lights to complete the build out.
 What he needed was a set of dimmable outdoor patio globe light strings whose wire could be cut and spliced into a dimmer control system. The lights would need to be low wattage to operate cost effectively all night. The wire that suspended the light would have to have a thick enough gauge that could support the number of lamps needed to generate the rich ambient light that was needed for couples and groups.
